About Chakama Malindi

Chakama is about 45 kilometers from Malindi town. It is connected by the Malindi Tsavo road that ends at Tsavo Esat’s Sala Gate road which connects Malindi , Voi and Mtito Andei. This new road was commissioned by President Kenyatta in the year 2016 . It is approximately 30 minutes drive from Malindi along a picturesque landscape that passes through Arabuko Sokoke Forest.

The road improves access to the Tsavo East National Park, enabling visitors to explore its diverse wildlife and attractions. It has also increased economic activity in the Malindi region with more tourists visiting the area.

Chakama has various advantages for those wishing to venture into commercial agriculture or simply subsistence farming.

Chakama is a Kenya Government settlement scheme that was done in two phases. Phase one featured 15 acre parcels while phase two was divided into 7.5 acres parcels.

Ranching

Goat rearing and beef ranching is an ideal venture for the Chakama location because of its weather and natural vegetation as well as ease of access.

Virgin soils

Chakama area mostly have virgin land which has never been cultivated before . Do you wish to do commercial farming ? Onion farming, Pineapples , watermelons and capsicum can do very well here. Baricho water project.

Chakama is near Baricho water supply .Which supplies about 22 million liters of water to Kilifi, Malindi and Mombasa .This makes it one of the areas which can be hot in commercial farming because there is a large underground aquifer that is inexhaustible.

Tarmac road .

Location for real estate is prime . The road can make your commute to and from easy and hustle free. Transporting your harvest and farm inputs can be walk in the park .
